The United Nations Old Guard

The United Nations Old Guard (UNOG) is a semi-secret organisation set up for well-known participants in the United Nations. Members are chosen based upon their understanding of the UN, and their degree of recognisability. Membership of the UN is not a requirement for entry into UNOG.

The organisation began in October 2004, after several major changes to the UN system (including the addition of the repeal function). Several nations indicated that they were withdrawing from the UN, but still wished to keep up diplomatic relations. Since then, most have rejoined the UN., and many new members were accepted into UNOG.

UNOG cannot be counted as a harmonious whole - the organisation includes National Soveregnty-ists, interstellar empires, developing nations and many others. Several members are involved in other groups, such as The Pretenama Panel and the National Sovereignty Organisation.
