Greetings from the Serene Republic

All that you see coming from the Serene Republic of Nova Voobaha, you can blame on me. I'm the creative force behind the Prime Minister, the head of NVBroadcasting and all other government lackeys. In RL, I'm Trent (born 25 April 1964), living in Palm Springs, California, United States.

What am I doing here?

In early December 2005, I was forced to miss a week of work, due to a hand injury. One afternoon, while bumping around the web, I began looking for a good political game. Once I found the link to Nation States, I jumped in. Little did I know, this would become a major addiction. I orginally started a nation called Northen Voobaha. But after many hours of enjoyment, I began having less and less spare time to devote to NS. And yes, I managed to lose my nation. So in November 2006, I returned under a similarly named nation.

What the Hell is Voobaha?

Voobaha is stolen from the Los Angeles singing duo Barnes and Barnes. They invented the fictious language Lumanian. I went one better and made Voobaha a small, hopeless nation along the lines of the fictional Grand Fenwick.

Where do you get these names?

Ok, a bit of self-indulgence. Vox is a nickname I've had since the mid 1990s. I used to do radio work in California as the play-by-play voice of a major college, covering football and basketball. The head of the Athletic Department, once called me the "Vox Poly", or as he meant it the "Voice of Cal Poly". The nickname has stuck to this day. I still use the name Vox on air, at internet radio station WildRadio760.
