Healine: Breaking News! The Republic of Tessler has officaly joined The Generals! Riordanopolis has yet to speak on this matter, King Ian John Locke II, has agreed to allow Tessler to join the Empire and create a smaller fraction with in The Empire. In other news, The U.N. has passed the bill allowing repeal of the UN Patent Law. In other news Civil War continues against Roidonia and The Generals of Riordonia. Unoffical sources say " A Delagate from The Tessler Republic has gone in and spoken with the Generals of Riordonia Leader." The Tessler Goverment refused to speak on this matter. On other news Westmoore has aggred to become allies with Roidonia and rumor is they are sending over a treaty to D.F. (District of Fondoria). On another Topic as stated by the President of The Tessler Republic, "Gambling is not bad, but at the age of 8 to 15 I think it is not needed and having them play so young could cause future gambling problems." The Senate has just passed a Bill stating that it is ok to use marijuana in your home...alone. But it is not ok to use it in public places.
The Tessler Republic Today
The Republic of Tessler is a medium sized, socially progressive nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 67 million, loves a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.
The large government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 26%, but much higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is led by the Information Technology, Retail, and Trout Farming industries.
The Five States
Fondor: The Northern State, known best for its great Military. It is the first line of defense for the people of Tessler. Named after the old country of Fondor, which had officially joined The Tessler Republic after the last reminisce of The Tessler Council had been destroyed.
Shaowindasi: Named after the Ancient Cree Chief, this Farmland community is what gives Tessler's Economy that kick. Located on the east side of Tessler.
Port Randoff: The Republic is located next to the sea; Port Randoff covers the whole entire Eastern Shoreline of Tessler. It is where trading happens between nearby Regions such as Westmoore and New Westmoore. Port Randoff is a center for The Tessler Navy.
The Zencon Wastelands: After a Nuclear War happened against The Fondorian Kingdom and The Nazis of Shen'kainhimer. The Old Empire of Tessler had aided The Fondorian Republic. With this the Nazi's had hit a once mighty city of Zencon 12. The Nuclear Weapon destoryed most of that region. Today most people in the region have been deformed. This area is ruled by gangs but The Republic is currently trying to restore it to its former glory. This is located in the south.
Central Tessler: The Home of Political Affairs as well as The Capital known as D.F.(District of Fondoria). This State is strong in every aspect. It is considered a Utopia by the other states and nearby countries. This area took the spot of Capital after the former Capital of Zencon 12 was ruined.
History of The Republic
Tessler was formed in 2504 along side it brethren nation of Fondor. At first Tessler was a strong monarchy which ruled most of the Fondorian Mainland. Then after The Kingdom of Fondor had begun to revolt against there king. The people of Tessler followed this idea of revolutionizing and after killing King Tessler the 13th. The nation had fallen into a Great Depression. For 50 years the economy was dead, no form of government had been decided yet. Finally Ex-General Franklin Thomas had steeped up and called for a meeting. He came up with the idea of elections, once this idea spread around Thomas was elected Chancellor of The Tessler Kingdom. He had rebuilt the old greatness of the land. Things were going great for The Tessler Kingdom. Until The Fondorian Republic had declared war against the Nazis, this had launched a horrible nuclear war between the nations. Thomas had felt that Tessler needed to aid Fondor. So he launched a campaign on the Nazis. The Nazis had then counter attacked the Capital of Tessler; Zencon 12 had been turned into ashes and Franklin Thomas had died. The armies of Tessler had felt so much anger; they had aggressively attacked The Nazis wiping them out of the region for good. The soldiers returned home, and one young man would begin to study politics and law. His name was Jacob Tessler great grandson of King Tessler he 13th. After attending collage for 7 years Jacob had brought up his ideas to The Tessler Council (The current Government made up of the eldest people in the seven different states.) The men did not want to loose there power and had told Jacob that if he tried to persuade anyone to follow his ideas, then they would have him killed. With this Jacob had moved to The Allied States of Fondor. He had become a Senator there and spread his ideas. With these ideas 20 Million people agreed but 50 Million did not. A massive Civil War was on it way. Jacob Tessler had wanted Fondor and Tessler to unite as one, and to be ruled by elected senators from different states within the nation as well a President who would have executive powers. Meanwhile the Council did not want Fondor and Tessler to unite and they wanted to keep ruling. Two sides were now formed from this The Free People’s of Fondria and The Holy Empire of Tessler. The Empire had set up it capital in Malcon 4 and Fondria had set it up in The D.F. (The District of Fondria). Even though Jacob and his men were out numbered they managed to win the war. As soon as the war ended the two nations were finally combined as one thus creating The Republic of Tessler. Jacob Tessler was elected first President of The Republic. After Jacobs passing Captain Howard Stewart had become President but Jacobs son Melvin looks to have a promising future ahead of him.
