Verde is a peninsular area in Europe that contains over a million square kilometres of green land. While today it makes up the Greater DCU, previous ages have seen this corner of Europe occupied by roaming tribes and warring states. Until the Revolution that produced the Greater DCU, there was never any centralised state encompassing the entire area.
Its name derived from the pleasant hills and plains that characterize this corner of Europe and is now applied to all those who dwell there and their culture. The term Verdean is now often used as an adjective to describe those who live within the Greater DCU.
