The current climate of Vigorithia is classified as a cold climate. With warm to mild summers and cold winters all over the country. The main factors of influence on Vigorithia's climate is are the ocean currents and the situation in the Frozen North.

The Climate of Vigorithia generally varies. The Southern Regions of Vigorithia are considerably calmer than the northern regions and the climate there is relatively warm in the summer (although moderated by the ocean) The Summer Climate of the Northern Regions is very mild in the summer, but windy. The Winters in Vigorithia are very gloomy. The Southern Regions see calm, cold Winters and the The Northern Regions see very cold and very stormy winters with blizzards and sea storms the norm.

Seasons

Winter

Winter in Vigorithia can get very cold and very windy. In the Southern Eastern Part of Vigorithia, the residents recieve a very cold and dry winter with temperatures averaging -5°C. Snow can be common. In the Eastern Side of Vigorithia, as a damp, swampy part. This side can get very slippery and very icey. The temperature though is more or less the same as Eastern Vigorithia.

Central Vigorithia can get very cold during winter, the average temperature hits -8°C at that time of year. Snow is usually deep and blackouts are frequent. Northern Vigorithia gets very windy during winter and very cold, temperatures averaging -6°C and blizzards common at that time of year, life can be hard during that time. Rain comes in during the end.

Because of Vigorithia's location, Winters are very cold and very dark. Snow is common in all places, it sets in around November and doesn't melt until April or late March.

Spring

Spring in Vigorithia is a very bad time of year for Vigorithians. In the Southern Parts, snow begins to melt during mid March and in the Western side, this can cause mild flooding. In these parts, the temperature averages 3.75°C.

Central Vigorithia doesn't lose it's snow until middle April, although Snow remains on the mountains throughout the entire year. Spring is a popular region in the centre, as it symbolizes a new hunting season. The temperatures creep up to 3°C on average at that time. Northern Vigorithia becomes very rainy during Spring and the Snow melts in early April. Average temperature there of 3°C.

Summer

Summer in Vigorithia is a widely celebrated event. It begins in June and lasts until August. The Southern areas recieve the best Sun of all, with the Sandy Area being the hottest place with temperatures usually at 12°C, at times it can hit 20°C. The swampy areas on the Western Side actually become rather humid.

Central Vigorithian snow melts at mid-April and in summer, they get an average temperature of 9°C, sometimes temperatures can increase to 15°C, but not very often. The Northern parts of Vigorithia are reasonably rainy at this time of year, but temperatures on average are 10°C and it can hit 17°C at times.

Autumn

Autumn in Vigorithia is a very wet time of year. Temeperatures across Vigorithia plummet, in Southern Vigorithia it hits 7°C on average. While the Central Vigorithian region hits only 3°C and snow can set in at late October on a cold year. The Northern Region gets 5°C on average at this time of year.

Regions

Vigorithia is obviously a cold country, but each part of Vigorithia has different weather patterns to each other.

The Southern Eastern Side of Vigorithia is the driest part of the region. With the least amount of rain and the calmest winters across Vigorithia, and also calmest seas. The climate is moderated by the Southern Vigorithian Waves.

The Southern Western Side of Vigorithia is the swampiest part of Vigorithia and the most humid. Slightly cooler than the Southern West, but can be rather sticky.

The Central Part of Vigorithia is the coolest place in Vigorithia, with the Shortest Summer in the whole of Vigorithia. Snow can happen in Summer on a rarity, and is inevitable in winter.

The Northern Side of Vigorithia is the windiest part of Vigorithia and the Frozen Lands bring storms to the region. A dry desert has formed in the side of the region as well, this place is very cold in the winter and the summer.

Sunshine and cloud

Vigorithia gets about 50 days of pure sunshine a year. In the Central Region, the mountains and the mist prevents them from ever having a full day of sunshine and partially cloudy days are the norm. The Northern Region is not much better with only 10 days a year of pure sunshine.

The Oceans

The Rough Lantian Ocean in the North has a large affect on Vigorithian's climate. The Cold Countries rainfall and high speed winds comes from the ocean around the island. Without the Lantian Ocean there, Vigorithia would be cooler and calmer.

Winds

The Ocean around Vigorithia makes Vigorithia into a very windy and rough country to live in.

The Wind mostly effects the Central and Northern East sections of Vigorithia. Vigorithia experiances powerful Winds.

Rainfall

The most common type of rain in Vigorithia is Sleet, a mixture of Ice and Rain. The Northern Parts of Vigorithia suffer from the most rain, while the Central Parts of Vigorithia recieve the smallest amount of rain.

Severe weather

Vigorithia suffers from Floods, which can sometimes turn into thick temporary Ice. This is a threat in the Northern Eastern Areas.

Snowstorms are regular in the Central Regions.

Climate change

Vigorithia is slowly floating northwords closer to the freeze zone. The island is expected to cool down because of this.

Average Yearly Temperatures

January:

Min Temperature: -10.1c

Max Temperature: -5.5c

Record Max Temperature: 6c (Pemberle Island)

Record Min Temperature: -56c (Mt. Tsarral)

Sunshine Hours: 1

The Whole of Vigorithia is plunged into darkness in January. Snow is scattered throughout the country and vegetation is seemingly impossible in all parts of Vigorithia. The Central Highlands freeze up completely and communication is difficult. Power Cuts are not uncommon at this time of year and strong Blizzards in the North are expected. Snow fall is common everywhere.

Feburary:

Min Temperature: -8.5c

Max Temperature: -5c

Record Max Temperature: 9c (Pemberle Island)

Record Min Temperature: -51c (Mt Tsarral)

Sunlight Hours: 2

Feburary is the calmest month in Vigorithia. Feburary is slightly warmer than January but the Highlands for some reason seem to freeze up more during Feburary than anywhere else. Snow is still everywhere in the country. Sleet is more common.

March:

Min Temperature: -6.1c

Max Temperature: -1c

Record Max Temperature: 12c (Southern Summit Islands)

Record Min Temperature: -45c (Mt Tsarral)

Sunlight Hours: 4

In the Southern parts of Vigorithia, middle March will see the slow melting of the permanent winter snow. Rain will become more common and farming will slowly begin to open up. The Northern Parts of Vigorithia are still going through winter up until late March.

April:

Min Temperature: -2c

Min Temperature: 4.3c

Record Max Temperature: 15c (Nordan Slast)

Record Min Temperature: -39c (Mt Tsarral)

Sunlight Hours: 5

Winter is still happening in the Central Highlands of Vigorithia with the average temperature 0. Snow melt now takes place throughout Vigorithia with only the Northern Parts still recieving the odd bit of Snow. Sleet and Heavy Rain become common at this time of year with Southern Vigorithia becoming very wet. Mild Floods begin from Ice Melt.

May:

Min Temperature: 1.8c

Max Temperature: 8.1c

Record Max Temperature: 18c (Southern Summit Islands)

Record Min Temperature: -31c (Mt Tsarral)

Sunlight Hours: 6

Snow is now completely gone across Vigorithia. The Central Highlands experience a rapid snow melt at this time of year. The Northern Parts of Vigorithia recieve their share of the rain that Southern Vigorithia gets in April.

June:

Min Temperature: 5.8c

Max Temperature: 13.5c

Record Max Temperature: 26c (Southern Summit Islands)

Record Min Temperature: -22c (Mt Tsarral)

Sunlight Hours: 10

The Sunlight Hours quickly rise in this period of the year. Pleasent Weather becomes common across the calm coasts of the Sandy Bay. However the Northern Parts recieve unsettled weather with rain being common. The Highlands recieve mild foggy weather throughout this part of the year and the Swamps all across the country can become very humid and insect prone.

July:

Min Temperature: 7.8c

Max Temperature: 14.6c

Record Max Temperature: 25.8c (Southern Summit Islands)

Record Min Temperature: -17c (Mt Tsarral)

Sunlight Hours: 20

July is the most favoured month in Vigorithia because of the heat. The Southern Parts of Vigorithia become very pleasant at this time of Year and the Southern Islands become the hottest part of the country. The Northern Part of Vigorithia here becomes very humid and sticky for the northern position, yet is cooled by the common rainfall in that area. The Central Highlands are clear at this time of year.

August:

Min Temperature: 6.6c

Max Temperature: 13c

Record Max Temperature: 23c (Southern Summit Islands)

Record Min Temperature: -20c (Mt Tsarral)

August is slightly cooler than July but is almost the same with the same conditions.

September:

Min Temperature: 3.8c

Max Temperature: 9.8c

Record Max Temperature: 17c (Southern Summit Islands)

Record Min Temperature: -25c (Mt Tsarral)

Sunlight Hours: 10

September is a very wet month for Vigorithia. The Northern Areas can recieve much flooding at this time of the year while the Central Highlands recieve the first traces of snow. The Southern Parts of Vigorithia still recieve a warm summer feel until the end of the month.
