Vimesbairn Athletic have always been the little brother of Vimesbairn football, continually teased and beaten by Vimesbairn United. However, there are tendencies that this is about to change. With an influx of foreign talent and a number of good players on their own, Athletic finished fourth in the 1728 Compound League, and may be getting on to something.
