Works of Our Fathers (Norwegian; Våre fedres verker, Trøndersk; Fedran vårres sine værka), is the national anthem of Skatval. The anthem was voted for in 1988, and was only used as a temporary national anthem. It was replaced by The White Skatvalian Mountains in 1990.

Music and lyrichs

The music is the same as in the old hymn of the Estonian SSR. You can listen to the instrumental version right here: [1]

Norwegian lyrichs

This is the most used lyrichs, and we've supplied the first verse of the anthem:

Hold ut, tapre folk av Skatval
Og stå som en klippe, vårt hjemland!
Vår tapperhet sank ikke i krigene,
Du kjempet deg gjennom århundrene,
Og det land vi har kjempet for,
Det - det har vi fått.

Trøndersk lyrichs

This is the first verse in Trøndersk, which is a large language in Skatval:

Håill ut, tapre fålk tå Skatval
Å stå som ei klippe, vårres heimlainn!
Tapperheta vårres sank itj i krigan,
Du kjæmpa dæ jænnom århoindran,
Å deh lainn vi hi kjæmpa fårr,
Det - det hi vi fått.

Translated English lyrichs

This is the translated version, and not used in Skatval:

Endure, the brave people of Skatval
And stand as a rock, our homeland!
Your courage did not subside in the sufferings,
You broke yourself through the centuries,
And the country we have fought for,
It - it came to us.
