A stern woman of incredible intellect as well as cunning wit, Xheng Sui-Lan has proven herself to be an extremely capable Grand Archon. She was not the first woman to hold this position but by far she is the most capable. Often in the past the Grand Archons have been puppets for either the royal family or the Imperial Stratagem, rubber stamping issues for either side. However Xheng Sui-Lan has proven to have a mind of her own leaving a legacy of competence and true integrity with her position.
The liberal legacy of the Arch-Imperium can be partially contributed to Xheng Sui-Lan herself. She is pro-choice and left-center leaning allowing her to support more individual freedoms as opposed to massive state security. Though she is liberal she knows there are limits to the abiltiies of the Grand Archon. She openly expressed support of the Emperor when the Emperor made a declaration supporting same-sex unions in the Arch-Imperium, as did the Prime Minister and the Imperial Proxy. Though two major political parties opposed it, Xheng Sui-Lan went as far to announce that she would instantly strike down any law or motion that the opposition parties had to an issue of what Xheng Sui-Lan refered to as "a universal declaration of equality to all minorities".
