The first major storm in 2006 packed barely a whimper as it missed the island of Xixan but later hit the main continent to the east of the island.  Packing winds of around 80 km/h this slow moving system made its way past the cities of Wehttam and Karm, with the tail end dumping around 2 centimetres on the capital before it picked up speed heading east to the mainland.  The storm after hitting the main continent dissipated and the weather service has therefore stopped tracking this weather system.
