Born in the city of Băsrĭl on the planet Rənku to parents who worked as factory laborers, Yătzĭl Ąmsi grew up in Mirfak before it joined the Xanthalian Union. He proved to be a below-average student and had multiple disciplinary problems throughout childhood and adolescence; and spent the last year of his student career in Public Education System 3 of the newly-formed Xanthalian school system, the system set aside for the most unintelligent and unruly students. After finishing school in 316, he moved to Zăver and enrolled in the Xanthalian Military Training Academy, serving for more than two years in the Star Forces Reserve, gaining only one promotion in that time. While working as a server at a restaurant, he met Mąreą Franklən, the manager of a local accounting firm, who he moved in with in 318. They had two children the following year: first Ăndreą, a girl, then a boy, Doreąn. Frustrated with his own lack of achievement, Ąmsi left the Star Forces in late 319 to return to school and study for a job as a police officer. He also continued his work as a server to maintain an income. In 320 Ąmsi’s mother died of a stroke, and he took a job as an office worker for the local Domestic Defense Party. Rapidly gaining an interest in politics, he managed to get the local nomination for Triumvir under the new Constitution of 321, and achieved the seemingly-impossible when he was elected to the state executive branch later that year. Ąmsi currently lives with his wife and children in the city of Jĭn Rĭn.

Physical description

Yătzĭl Ąmsi is human, 177 centimeters tall. His skin color is that of a Caucasian, though his facial features more closely resemble a human of Korean descent. He is sturdily built: plenty of muscle and just the right amount of fat. Though he isn’t tall, he has an impressive figure, especially up close. Nobody questions his hygiene, but he does tend to exude a rather distinct masculine odor by the end of the day, especially when the temperature is high. His large hands and feet just add to the beefy brawler look.

Ąmsi has dark eyes and lightly-tanned skin that contrast with coarse blonde hair, which he keeps very short and is slowly losing to baldness, especially in front. His ears also protrude outward unusually, giving the impression of a wider head, an effect that complements his beard: a well-groomed, rounded goatee. He has a broad smile, a distinct frown, and a tendency to flush red when angry or impassioned. His posture, and his intimidating physique, has not diminished with age.

Personality and politics

Yătzĭl Ąmsi isn’t bright with an I.Q. hovering just over 100, and he isn’t much of a diplomat considering his abrasive personality. His direct, common sense approach to his office has earned him a reputation as a practical politician, and made this once-dubious choice for office appealing to commoners increasingly concerned with state security. He also lives like a common man, residing in a large apartment with his family and using the subway to get around the city. Ąmsi is a practicing Sunni Muslim.

Ąmsi captured office with a conservative plan to make Xanthal safer while minimizing intrusion into the personal affairs of citizens, making libertarian considerations that were unusual for a member of the Domestic Defense Party. As a Triumvir, Ąmsi likes to focus his attention on managing military affairs and dealing with trade policy; leaving foreign relations to the other Triumvirs. He is a moderate socialist, supporting protectionism, government welfare, and economic independence but frequently lobbying for larger tax refunds and the expansion of Xanthal’s private markets.

• 320: Yătzĭl Ąmsi begins clerical work for the Zăver chapter of the Domestic Defense Party.
• 321: Ąmsi is elected to the Xanthalian Triumvirate and becomes Second Triumvir with 9% initial voter support and 59% in the sixth runoff.
• 323: Frədrĭk Da leaves office. Ąmsi becomes First Triumvir. Ąmsi is re-elected with 32% initial voter support and 53% in the second runoff.
• 324: Ąmsi introduces a motion to call on foreign assistance to help end terrorist activity in Xanthal.
• 326: Ąmsi is re-elected with 35% initial voter support and 50% in the second runoff.
• 327: Ąmsi supports a shuffle of Xanthalian alliances, including withdrawal from the Temporal Accord and entry to the International Aid Consortium Agreement and Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. He opposes leaving the Extra Solar Union of Systems.
• 329: Ąmsi proposes the International Planespace Tactical Security Agreement. Ąmsi is re-elected with 40% initial voter support and 52% in the first runoff.
• 330: Ąmsi opposes Xanthalian purchase of the Kanell System.
• 331: Ąmsi opposes the foundation of the Common Bank.
