Zeeland is the largest administrative subdivision in Halandra after Littoralia prefecture and the second most populated after Littoralia Prefecture. The official language is Zeelandse, a dialect of Dutch.
The economy of Zeeland is focused on agriculture and high technology. Halandra's aerospace sector is one of the major world players, with the aircraft and avionics manufacturer IRG (Industriëler Ruimtegroep) employing 20% of the workforce in metropolitan Vissingenpolder.
