ZiL-86 "Visceral" Attack Helicopter

300pxmilmi24hind4fi.png

This Zilhoskiya designed attack helicopter is a modern day design based off the Mi-24 Hind which was very popular in Zhaskev. Due to the ageing of its technology and the scaling down of production the Chief Council commissioned that a Zhaskevian model should be produced independently while being based of the design of the Mi-24 Hind. Since 1985 it has seen extensive service primarily within Zhaskev around the high mountain ranges that ring the north of the country.

Armament

Paying respect to it's heritage, it features thick belted armor that can protect it from .50 cal fire and operates with LLTV sensors, raders and FLIR. The latest variant is armed with DSR-50 50 mm cannons and has RKT-86 ATG missiles for targeting ground objects.

Design

Because it is locally produced, certain aspects of it are built to the unique environmental conditions that Zhaskev's high alpine and dry desert areas demand. Special filters have been designed, and must be carried on all models to ensure it can operate in all conditions Zhaskev encounters. Early models could not perform well in poor weather conditions but this has steadily improved. Another factor is it's weight. The Zhaskevian Air Fleet (ZAF) has confirmed that fully loaded it suffers the same problems as it's Russian cousin, it needs a rolling take-off. Although it is not usually operating at full load capacity, the risk from SAM missiles is increased.

Twenty are produced each month in Zilhoskiya's main production lines within the Aralyian mountains.
