Overview
The Kingdom of Portrigh is a small, socially progressive nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 12 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The large government concentrates mainly on Commerce, although Law & Order and Healthcare are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 26%, but much higher for the wealthy. A large private sector is led by the Basket Weaving, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining industries.
