Early Life
Pierre Mallard was born in May of 1958 to John and Rosemary Mallard, in Pontarlier. He spent most of his youth playing sports and excelling in school, both of which earned him a dual scholorship to the University of Medicine at Alónso. Prior to his graduation, he became thoroughly interested in politics and decided, in 1979, to pursue a career therein. He became mayor of Fresno in 1980, an office he held for twelve years. He was immensely popular.
Political Career
As stated, Pierre Mallard held the office of Mayor of Fresno for a record twelve years. After losing an election to incumbent Larry LeTour (a politican who later ran for Regent against Jonah Jebediah Rudabaugh in 1998, and lost) in 1992, Mallard ran for Senator of Rachamps, and lost. He spent the next years vicariously campaigning for the next election (1998), which he won and became Senator of Coquille.
When HOP James Fabré was killed during a Dakkland shelling of Tortuga in 2001, next-in-line Mallard rose to HOP. In that position, he was mildly successful, but his conservative policies garnered the general displeasure of the populace.
Death
Pierre Mallard died at his home in Tortuga of pulmonary lymphoma, which he had suffered from for the past two years. His death coincidentally took place three days prior the assassination of Jonah Jebediah Rudabaugh, and, consequently, the transition of successors was disrupted and Parliament was forced to take direct control of Costa Bravo for three weeks. Eventually, Remy Lessard was elected Regent. Meredith Gosselin replaced Mallard as HOP.
