Canava is a city in Xirya, built on the shores of Lake Canava.

Canava during the Dorian Renaissance

During the Dorian Renaissance, Canava was the last remaining Kiravian settlement on Dorias. However, it was not a lowly outpost. Canava became a city-state, and was known to Eulean kingdoms and Amaratsuan nobles alike. Banking, Trade, Architecture, Engineering, Artistanship, Literature, and Education flourished in Canava. It was home to the Canava University, the first Kiravian-style university to be built on Dorias. It offered classes in everything from Botany to Archery, and drew students from as far away as Kaldei. Craftsmen created world-class goods that were sailed from Lake Canava to the Grey Sea, and North to Euleos. The population grew, and the city prospered.

Eventually, the need for resources tendered to the Canavan's inherent Kiravian imperialist nature. Canava began building settlements nearby. Then, they bred their own nautical engineering knowledge with native canoe designs, and built a fleet of canoes, bateaus, and pirogues to navigate the streams and rivers of Dorias. With this new transport system, more new towns could be built and supplied. Canavan expeditions mapped all of southern Dorias and Runkirr, and even sent some cartographic teams to Euleos, although those maps are for the most part lost.
