With twenty divisions under his command, he led an attack on the then capital city of Groznj. His advance units had just battled thier way to the outskirts of Groznj when the first tactical nuke was fired from an M1960 artillery piece from the foothills of the Transhill Mountains. The attack was beaten back, Groznj vaporized, and Ivan'ch pulled back to Wasthein. Overview
The Federation of Iluyshian States is a federation of eight states, located on the island continent of Iluyshia.

Government
The government of the FIS is an a-typical form of democracy. While the head office, that of Prime Minister, is held by a life-long ruler, the citizens are able to elect every other offical, from Senator to the judges on the Supreme Court. There are three brances. The Exectuive branch, headed by the Prime Minister, has duties much like that of the American exectuive branch. The Judical Branch, the Siidim, has twenty judges that serve a ten-year term. The Legislative branch, The Federal Duma, has almost six-hundred electorates, from the regional Flik-Sa, to the Provincal Senators, to the representatives from the myraid of different sectors.
Military
The Military of the FIS is divided into four seperate forces. The Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Marine Corps. Service is mandatory.
Army

Strength: 200,000 Primary HQ: Pacifica
The Naval Service was founded in 1800 after repeated incursions by the pirate nation of Fhim. The Naval Service defected to Sudoplatov's side during the Great December Unrest. During times of peace, the service is used primarily for coastal defense, though during times of war mothballed ships are reactivated.
Air Force
Strength: 300,000 Primary HQ: Haselstadt
The Air Force, founded in 1925, is a major cog in the military might of the FIS. After Groznj was vaporized, 70% of Air Force personnel defected to Sudoplatov's side. The FISAF uses locally-produced designs, from the Vektor Corp. inteceptor model AF-4 Viper to the Hylatian M-114 Transport.
Marine Corps
Strength: 150,000 Primary HQ: Pacifica
The Marine Corps, the major special forces group in the military, was founded in 1800 as a countermeasure to fight the pirate nation of Fhim. Instrumental in the downfall of Jarkta, Fhim's capital city, the marine corps insured the safety of the then Republic's future on the seas. During the Unrest, the Marine Corps fought on Hylatia's side. After the war, and Hylatia had secured it's own military, they returned to the new FIS and re-took thier position as the first troops into any situation. They use primarily foreign made weapons, such as the AMF-14 battle rifle, and the MX-77 Main Battle Tank.
