The animosity between the ND and the SD reaches far back into the pre-civilization annals of Aquarius euetheia’s history. Ironically, it is those inhabiting the edges of the Strait that are most devoted to the feud. Many of the water-bound clans have spilt their blood on the waters of Salamaar, most notable of which are the clans Illim-Salal, Burgese and Fianola who at one point in time had established the Triad of Fishermen that dominated the aquaculture industry during the late 1800s. However, during the First Storm of Clappers, the three aforementioned clans immediately fell from the favor of the new-founded Proctectorate. Afterwards, due to inside treachery and conspiracy, they turned upon one another and finally met in an all-out battle that shook the waters of Salamaar in June of 1913. All but a handful of the clans’ descendants now remain today, and have all but disappeared from the active social and political scene. However, many other fishing clans, especially those native to the banks of the strait, continue the fight, in what is popularly known as the Water Ring Feuds, which the government turns a blind eye on, for the sake of the thriving Fishery and Aquaculture economy.

A brief note on the history of the dominions

The animosity between the ND and the SD reaches far back into the pre-civilization annals of Aquarius euetheia’s history. Ironically, it is those inhabiting the edges of the Strait that are most devoted to the feud. Many of the water-bound clans have spilt their blood on the waters of Salamaar, most notable of which are the clans Illim-Salal, Burgese and Fianola who at one point in time had established the Triad of Fishermen that dominated the aquaculture industry during the late nineteenth century.
