The United Union of Central Sciacca is a massive, economically powerful nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.071 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 80%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture, Information Technology, and Gambling industries.

A weakened police force struggles to maintain law and order, employers may fire workers without giving any reason, the nation's youth is held blameless for all crimes, and organ donation rates are among the lowest in the region. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Central Sciacca's national animal is the lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the dollar.

Central Sciacca, along with La provincia di roma, is a founding member of he Blue and Gold Alliance. Basically Central Sciacca stays allies with all alliance members. No nations have specific enemy status with Central Sciacca.

Recent Government Activity

• A bill that would make Spanish a second official language was vetoed by President Anthony I after being voted "yes" by a small majority of the Congress. The bill will return to Congress to either overturn the veto or sustain the veto.
• A bill that will reduce Central Sciacca's military personnel by 20% is on the table of Congress. It is expected not to pass
• The Central Sciacca Green and Rainbow Party(CSGRP)is expected to push a bill that would make gay and lesbian marriages legal. The possible bill has had fierce debate from both sides. The bill is too close to call a prediction.
