The People's Republic of Lorkhan
Government
The People's Republic of Lorkhan is a secular nationalist republic led by the governing Grand Nasier Valias, and the NSSC political party which is the dominating political group of the state and the encompasing body of the senate. The Grand Nasier is elected into power by the senate, and upon his election he is granted dominant power until he decides to step down or in the case that the NSSC and senate unanimously vote for his removal. The country is divided into several regions, each with their own governing council presiding. The governing councils answer directly to the NSSC.
The country remains isolated from foreign influence and has few ties with nations outside it's boarders.

Background:
The People's Republic of Lorkhan and it's history dates back to the early-dark ages, and the Järtenian tribes that originaly settled the area that includes the Gravedom and Doviov. In the middle ages the country was absorbed by the Ramone Empire, thus beginning centuries of foreign dominance of country. The fall of the Ramone Empire's control of the country was triggered by the radicalization of several agitated nobles who dubbed themselves "The New Sons of Lorkhan", and in the fall of 1923 a widespread insurgency began over night. The Ramone Empire's own conflicts at home and abroad helped to destablize their country of the area and in 1930 the nation finally won back it's independence.
The leaders of the New Sons of Lorkhan positioned themselves into power, beginning decades of corrupt tyranical rule that would become defended and encouraged by rogue nations across the globe. The dictatorship went unchallenged 1987, when again the nation was thrown into civil conflict by the newly founded NSSC. The NSSC was considered a mere threat and many of it's members were jailed and killed until an allied invasion of Lorkhan and it's allies in 1993. The dictatorship crumbled and the NSSC rose to power.
