The Republic of Ameracadia is a very large, economically powerful nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-working, intelligent population are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion. Their main concerns are Law & Order, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. The government decides what is socially acceptable for its citizens based mostly on its moralistic views and religious influences. These views are enforced by elected Judiciary. The manditory two year military service is widely accepted. The Acadian Armed Forces receive advanced training, and are provided with state-of-the-art equipment.
