The Empire of Graham and Palmer is a country on the northernmost tip of the Antartic Penninsula.

History
A result of Chile's wish of an Antartic colony, which started in 1953 as the Dominion of Graham and Palmer. In 1990 when Chilean dictator Pinochet was overthown, he then fled to the Antartic dominion and then started a coup d'état, and afterwards became Emperor of Graham. He proceeded to put several of his closest allies and some family members as monarchs leading smaller monarchies united under him. The smaller monarchies are as follows:
- The Pricipality of Ciudad en El Hielo
- The Empire of Graham
- The Kingdom of Palmer
There are also other non-monarchy local governments in the empire.

In 2005, a CIA led coup overthrew the monarchs, however per later referendum, their titles were returned.
Origin of Name
The Empire of Graham and Palmer gets its name from its two largest local governments, the Empire of Graham and the Kingdom of Palmer.
Motto
Resistencia De Throught Que Conquistamos. The family motto of failure of an Antartic explorer Ernest Shackleton : "fortitudine vincimus", "through endurance we conquer", then translated into the language of Graham and Palmer, Spanish.

Demographies
Almost all Chilean settlers, a small amount of scientists from Argentina, the US, and Great Britain are near their respective countries year round labs and well as other groups, a number of Brittish settlers inhabit the RFI.
Politics
The executive of Graham and Palmer is the chansellor, who serves his or her respective regional goverment, for instance, John Rodridguez is the Chansellor of Graham. The chansellor holds power over domestic issues (i.e. can sign or veto bills approved by the Senatus, pardon accused parties, select a cabinet, etc.) The executive is elected directly, all regional governments (with the exception of the RFI) chose a cantidate, and the one that recieves the most votes nationwide become chansellor, the one that recieves the second most becomes prime minister. The prime minister holds power in external issues (i.e. declaring war, signing treaties, ect.).
The legislature is a unicameral house called the Senatus. Each senater is elected from their respective district in their regional governemnt. The more peolpe that are in the region, the more district and thus more senators it has.
The highest judiciary of is a board of seven on the High Court of Appeals, they must be selected by the prime minister, approved by the senatus, and than the chansellor to attain a seat. Before this they are interviewed by the attorney general to see impartiality.
The main party of Graham and Palmer is the Red-Green Alliance, a left wing party that is mainly strong in more urban areas and almost all of Graham Land and Palmer Land. Their main rivals are the Conservitive Capitalists, who contrary to their name are a more moderate party that hold in the smaller non-monarchies, and the Libertarian Christians, a right wing group that holds power only in the territorial legislature of the S. Territories.
The political structure of the RFI is built mostly off that of the rest of Graham and Palmer. It has almost no participation in federal politics, however federal laws are still supreme. Its main party is the Commonwealth Party, whose interests are complete separation from Graham and Palmer and re-entering the Commonwealth of Nations. The RFI is disputed between Graham and Palmer, who administers it, Argentina, who claims it, and Great Britain, who claims it and who the island is loyal to.

A large industry has recently grown in Graham and Palmer in renewable energy. In late summer 2005, it was found that Antartic ice reflects sunlight 500 times as powerful as a conventional mirror, and thus, Graham and Palmer saw a huge boom and now has many thousands of square miles filled with solor generators.
