The Kingdom Of Ulum, a former colony of The Dominion of Allovento, is a small state best known for its iron-fist government, personified through the King and his family. The H'tchana tribe, now ruling the state, led the other ulumian tribes into the struggles of the Independency War, now officially called "The birth pangs of a new Ulum". Starting their rebellion 1970 in Leng'tche, the UTU (United Tribes of Ulum), led by the chief of the H'tchana tribe, Julu'kwo H'tchana, the father of the present king, captured one city after another until in 1990 they finally surrounded the capital of Lungango, only defended by demoralised members of the allovenian Home Guard. After 20 years of war and bloodshed the BVAD finally withdraw from the shattered country. This great success was only made possible through the support of the Community of Jabbagabba, a neighbourstate with an highly effective arms industry delivering everything from small arms over tanks and artillery to the rebels. Directly after the war a new one broke out, now between the tribes fighting for power in the new government. The H'tchana, favoured by the government of Jabbagabba, won this war within one year. Setting up a powerful government was made easy through the enourmous amount of manpower under their command, including airborne troops and a small airforce. Until now the H'tchana family rules the country, letting their citizens many freedoms in their own lives but controlling everything else.
