Schmeiser Luftshiffaufbau is an passenger and military airship manufacturer based in St. Claire, Mikitivity. Its largest contracts are for the construction of airships and related parts for Eule Fluglinien and the Miervatian Luftwaffe. Schmeiser also produces recreational hot air balloons and high altitude weather balloons.

History of Schmeiser

In 1887, surveyor and balloonist Daniel Schmeiser was tasked with mapping the Thuvian peaks in Mikitivity's Aslan canton, but instead of going on foot, as previous land surveyors had done in the centuries past, Schmeiser convinced the Mayor of Miervatia that he could use a hot air balloon to travel over the mountains in a series of transects and better map the sparsely populated mountain reaches. Though severe weather prevented Schmeiser and his crew from creating complete maps of Aslan canton in the time alotted, it was discovered that Schmeiser's crew was able to reach the eastern side of the Thuvians in record time. The Mayor of Miervatia commissioned Schmeiser to operate the balloons to travel from Miervatia City to Hawkins canton.
