The Greater Consolidated Domain of New Cyberia

The Greater Consolidated Domain of New Cyberia remains one of the eldest and most powerful nations within the Region of PEEL, recently surpassing its neighbouring Empire of Slimmy to become the 10th largest nation in PEEL by population, and the 8th largest GDP. Formerly the capital of the now-defunct Greater Cyberian Union, the GCDNC encompasses all former GCU territories, excluding the New Cyberian Territory in the PEEL Colonial Territories, which is now an independent state.

However, in recent times New Cyberia has become increasingly isolationist and protective, to the extent that few (if any) events occuring inside the country are reported in the PEEL regional news.

Structure

Compared to the structure of the Greater Cyberian Union, the GCD is notably centralised, with ultimate control of all former GCU assets resting with Reeding. In fact, many of the powers which would hitherto have required a majority vote by the GCU Primarium are now inherent by executive power to the office of the President of the GCD.

It should be noted that said transfer of power was agreed upon both by a Primarium vote and then by a majority referendum, following numerous terrorist acts which threatened to destabilise the GCU, with the Primarium seemingly racked by indecision and bickering.
