Official Language: English. All residents are required to speak it prior to entering the nation.

History:

621- The Kingdom of Chipala is formed under Prince Guthrieman. It quickly expands out from Losa City and unifies most Chipan areas and enslaves many neighboring Woodoan states, or forces them to pay tribute.
850- Kingdom of Chipala is overthrown by Meridonian migrants who ally with local disgruntled Woodoans. The Diarchy of Vaziz is formed with Vaziz as it's capitol.
868- After both of the original Diarchs of Vaziz have died, the nation spirals into anarchy.
1012- The nation is unified by Father Amekal, a priest and strong leader. Though no central government is formed, peace is brought to the area and some degree of stability emerges.
1095- Father Haroldin, Amekal's successor, in order to prevent war within the area of his control, declares a religious crusade against the forming nation of the Best the Greatest.
1492- The last crusade is ended when ships arrive from the more northern islands and nations such as the Holy Empire of Mahasoori. Those ships quickly set up trade colonies and the local Woodchipans begin to become an exploited underclass: Woodoans and Chipani alike.
1536- Marc, a slave in a mining camp, leads an uprising against Governor Delvin (the local trade magnate). The rebellion is successful. Marc himself had a Meridonian mother and a Greatestian father.
1540- Ethnic division undermine's Marc's ability to lead, and he is overthrown.
1543- Meridon and various northern island states divide Woodchipo amongst themselves and it becomes a mere colony state.
1718- Under the leadership of Father Hridrion and the future Grand Emperor Valachi, Woodchipo was formed as a nation: the Second Woodchipan Imperium. Though most of the leadership was Chipan, as were most of the wealthy upper class, no ethnic group was intentionally marginalized.
1776- Valachi's grandson, Valoko, was overthrown after his policies and failed wars of expansion ruined Woodchipo's economy, and foreigners began to gain increased power within Woodchipo. Many mid-income workers and officials, as well as intelectuals, led a revolt. The lowest class Woodchipans were mostly apathetic, and aided little, and the topheavy upper class was quickly overthrown.
1781- The Principality of Woodchipo was formed with a single strong leader, but who could not, all of his own accord, direct the nation. The Parliament had 100 members. 7 Chipans, 1 Woodoan, 1 Meridonian, and 1 Greatestian.
1861- Wealthy business owners along the northeastern coastal areas revolted after a conscription law required that even wealthy sons would have to join the military.
1865- The rebellion is crushed.
1929- Woodchipo enters a massive economic depression, reducing it into even deeper poverty than had existed during the colonial period.
1994- Woodchipo shows signs that it has finally truly begun recovering from the depression. This is achieved by a series of pro-business strong military eladers who unify the nation and force it to catch up to other nations' economies.
2007- Woodchipo joins the Democracy of the Unified Nations.

In recent news, Prince Hireshmont is scheduled to be made Minister of the Treasury for the Democracy of Unified Nations. Due to his extensive research into the economic situation of the DUN, and innovative suggestions concerning means to improve the economic status of the DUN, Woodchipo is quickly gaining repute among fellow DUN member states... despite being a new and still struggling nation.

On the way to a summit on international trade and security in mid-may, Prince Hireshmont's motorcade was attacked by what experts say may have been criminals angered by the police and penal system crackdown, and funded by foreign nations. Soon afterwords the intended economic summit was cancelled. Just as word reached Woodchipo that Hireshmont was to be the Minister of the Treasury for the DUN, a statement was released by Mohicia (another DUN member) that it intended to side with the rebels and, if need be, send a "peacekeeping" force to compel Woodchipo to abandon it's monarchy in favor of a more democratic system. Rapidly after that the nation of Gwent-Dyfed expressed it's support of the monarchist regime in Woodchipo, and hostilities between Woodchipo and Mohicia escalated as Hireshmont authorized increased military spending. The issue began to settle down when it became clear that the rebels were in fact a radical fascist group and when Prince Hireshmont allowed greater freedoms to political movements.
