History

Kerla was once a region of the Federal Republic of Aperin. However most Kerlans did not agree with the Federal Republic. There were a lot of native Kerlans who were forced off there land. Most Kerlans resented the imperial government and the intrustion of their lives. This all changed in early 20th century. The Federal Republic of Aperin collasped and left was states fending for themselves. Kerla quickly become a absoulate monarchy in 1923, with George Getson taking over and crowning himself, King George I. The Kerlans accepted this fate. After a while he died and was repalced by King George II, his son. The monarchy lasted lasted for about 20 years and was replaced by a republic. The republic was more democratic. Life was peacful then. In 1945 Kerla become a dictatorship with Jefferson Davidson taking over, with the message that he know what was best for Kerla. He ruled for over 20 years with minor rebellions, that were never successful. In 1985 there was a major rebellion. The United Front for Democracy and Socialism staged a rebellion. Led by Robert Brown, it was ver successful. Brown was a genral in the Kerlan Republcian Army. The country was reorganized as the United Socialist States of Kerla. Later in 2011 it was again reorganized as the Socialist Union of Kerla.
