A history of Clarksingtonland

The following is a history of the Reduccial Empire from its founding to its current state.

The beginings

Clarksingtonland started out as a small monarchy of 900 people in 1,000 AD. During the early years of the city, the Clarksington People became deeply attached to the sea and so a small navy of 14 ships was formed. Gradualy the city grew to 85,000 people. However, the monarch, Aequinus II was beginging to abuse his power, restricting civil liberties and increasing the size of the goverment to unbearable lenghths. People began to protest.

Finally, in 1356, Teronad Clarkus began to start orginising opposition rallies in the streets of the city. On Febuary 18th, Clarkus' forces took over the Magistrate, or main goverment building, and the overthrew Aequinus. The people cheered as the yoke of tyranny was finally dislodged from thier throats.

Thousands of People cheered in the streets as Clarkus and his citizens celabrated. But there was no time to spare. On April 1, the Conventus Democratica was established with Clarkus at its head to from a new goverment. Ther delagates, recongized supportes of democracy and voiced in goverment, debated on a constitution for 4 weeks. Finally, On April 27th, the Constitutionus De Reducialius Republicani Clarksingtoni was established as the offical governing text of Clarksingtonland. The republican Empire was established and Clarkus was elected Grand Reducis. The country was renamed, the Gread Reduccial Empire of Clarksingtonland.

The Italian Wars

By 1500, the Reduccial Empire had grown to over 90,000 people. But, many other nations were becoming wary of this growing force. Milano was one. They possesed the greatest navy in Italy, and were ruled by Retalgo Botista, an iron-fisted ruler who was not liked by his people.
