Overview
- 'The Kingdom of Portrigh is a small, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its intelligent population of 12 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The enormous government concentrates mainly on Commerce, although Law & Order and Social Equality are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 32%, but much higher for the wealthy. A large private sector is led by the Basket Weaving, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining industries.
Citizens are enjoying a recent large cut in taxes, college students make ends meet by selling their kidneys, all tariffs have been abolished, and scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes. Crime is moderate. Portrigh's national animal is the Sheep and its currency is the Cullin. .
