The Right Honourable Signore Dr. Adrian Calin Mariu Copilul-Minune, MPP, D.Cr., M.L., M.Psych., (born 14 March 1950 in Caransebeş, Caraş-Severin, Romania) is the current Senior Deputy Prime Minister of of Pacitalia. He is the thirtieth person to hold the position, succeeding Nikos Karagounis on 26 March, 2005. Copilul-Minune is formerly a criminologist and psychologist with a doctorate in the former and a master's degree in the latter. He also has the qualification to serve as a criminal lawyer, having earned a Master's of Law as his secondary study in university. He serves as the deputy head of state and head of government in the Pacitalian political and electoral structure.

Early life

Mr Copilul-Minune was born to a poorer family in the small southwest Romanian town of Caransebeş. His father, Murco, worked as a lower-level ordnance hand in a munitions factory, where everything the factory made went to the Soviet army's bases in central Asia. His mother, Abeça, was paid a low wage for toiling in the fields near the town up to seven hours a day. However, the family still managed to survive on the income they had. With rumours that tyrannical megalomaniac dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu was sending brutal Securitate agents to rid the town of its lower-class one by one, the family picked up, quit their jobs and emigrated to Pacitalia in 1960.

Once in Pacitalia, they started to improve their standard of living, as father Murco's welding experience earned him a higher position at Pomentane Ballistics in Saronno. Murco, at the age of 80, ascended to the position of Head of the Small Firearms Bureau in 1997 and held the position until his retirement on 1 January 2001. His mother began work right away, starting in late 1960 as a clerical officer at a law firm. Soon, the whole family picked up fluent Pacitalian and English, which allowed Adrian to begin his primary education at a Saronno school in September 1961. Adrian's fluency and educational competency increased dramatically as he entered secondary school and he graduated as the second-highest student in his class in June 1968 with a 97.6% average.

The brightest flame

He entered university immediately in the fall of 1968 under the wings of numerous scholarships intending to earn a Bachelor's in Psychology. His intelligence also qualified him for Law School, so he imbibed in both studies, with Law his minor, and ended up with two Masters' Degrees out of the deal in April 1974. He was hired into the psychological analysis firm Sandati, Farambazo and Calfoni which also did patient psychology, and became one of their brightest star. Late in 1975, the group head, Alberto Sandati, encouraged Adrian into following his desire to add to his accomplishments by pursuing a degree in criminology. This would allow Adrian to ultimately become the firm's senior criminal psychologist, and he agreed. With SFC funding, he went back to school and earned a Doctorate in Criminology after five long years of studying, and emerged in April 1980 one of the most intelligent criminal psychologists in the world and one of the smartest and most knowledgeable people in the entire country.

During his time back at university, he met his spouse, Andarena (maiden name Camzafora) and they married in 1978, having two children in 1979 (Cristoferi) and 1982 (Veronica). Andarena is a senior city planner for the City of Saronno, having worked in real estate development and sales from 1981-1997, when she was offered the job of SrCP.

He stayed with Sandati, Farambazo and Calfoni for six more years as their Senior Criminal Psychologist, and left in March 1986 to create his own spinoff firm with more SFC funding. His firm specialised mostly in criminal psychological analysis, not a wide spectrum of psychology like his old workplace. The firm was a success and, with his additions to the Strain and Interactionist Theories of criminal behaviour, ensured Copilul-Minune a place in criminologist history and Pacitalian psychological history.

Adrian stayed with his firm for nineteen years, contributing a substantial amount to criminal psychological study, and luring over two hundred budding psychologists and criminalists to work under his wing in that span of time between March 1986 and March 2005. In 2005, he retired from his firm, leaving the task to his 25-year-old son Cristoferi, who now had a Master's of Criminology and Master's of Psychology of his own.

Prime Minister calling, please hold

Coincidentally, three days after he announced his retirement, SDPM Nikos Karagounis was found guilty of conspiracy and treason, with ties to the Pacitalian mafia's most notorious and fearsome family, the Chedas. Karagounis had also, in the tribunal, been found responsible for mafia-led terrorist attacks against Pacitalia's ally Canada and was extradited to Canada where he is now serving life in prison. As a result, Pacitalia was without someone in the deputy leadership position, and Prime Minister Timothy Ell called Dr. Copilul-Minune on 20 March 2005. He accepted the offer of taking the position the next day, and was sworn in as Pacitalia's thirtieth Senior Deputy Prime Minister on 26 March 2005.

Policy

Like his party, he takes a socially libertarian and economically conservative standpoint, and has, since ascending to the position two and a half months ago, worked closely with the Agustinate of Law, Order and Justice Teodor Murco Calindara (ironically a former employee of Adrian's between 1994 and 2002). Copilul-Minune's credibility has helped the government under Timothy Ell maintain a position as a smart, bright and accountable administration.

Public opinion

Pacitalians were overjoyed when they heard Ell's choice to replace Karagounis. They are proud to have such an accomplished man as their deputy leader and approval ratings for Copilul-Minune's policy and co-operation skills are consistently high. If Copilul-Minune ever ascends to the leadership of the party, he will most likely be elected in this circumstance.
