In the Beginning
Traditionally Akaeia's history begins with the creation of the first humans. In the beginning, when the world had been made, and the Universe was set to spin in an appropriate fashion, the 10 Eternals sat in council to decide what to do with creation, which was vast and lifeless. And so they decided that they would make man to work the Earth for them, and they sent Dauveron, one of their own, to make a man and a woman, but when he had gone they grew jealous, and each felt that the other was more powerful than they, and so they went out creating things that were better than the other's, and things to prey upon those things, and things to shake the Earth and disrupt the good that had been done, and it is because of this that the world is not paradise.
And so the first man and first woman were made, and the Eternals conspired to make them and their decendants labor for them. But before they had produced young, in the first days of the world, Dauveron seduced the first woman, whose name was Achanaea, against her will, while her husband was out. From this came Danin and his sister Edenna, who were half man and half Eternal. They were blessed with long life, and freedom from sickness, and many other things, but cursed to die, and above all, attracted the jealousies of the Eternals and set them against the World.
When Danin and Edenna had been married and produced many decendants, and Achanaea had made mankind and grown edlerly...
