Tashmara
Nation: Uzbekistan and Solomon
Function: Capital
Population: 8 million
Leader: Duke Ellison

Tashmara, translating directly into "Golden City" is the seat of government in Uzbekistan and Solomon. It is also the seat of government for The Melanesian Islands. This bustling commercial, industrial and transport centre holds roughly ten percent of the country's population, at the robust number of 8 million citizens.

The city is divided into a central core (pop. 5 million) and six surrounding boroughs: Tashmara North (pop. 1 million), Bishmaty (pop. 550, 000), Almazat (pop. 450, 000), Kew Heights (pop. 400, 000), Samarqad (pop. 350, 000) and Orchard Grove (pop. 250, 000). The population is primarily UzbekSolese, with a large Anglo-Saxon minority residing mostly in the core, Kew Heights and Orchard Grove.

Citizens enjoy a wide range of services, including the nation's only subway transportation network. There is an extensive public library system and an excellent school board, and cars are banned from the downtown waterfront, which is easily accesible to pedestrians and transit. The thriving core is home to two international banks and also a host of multinational corporations. A system of parks also spans the city, and provides for a liveable, workable environment for all.

A fair-sized port is in Tashmara as well. In addition to carrying most of Uzbekistan and Solomon's sea-bound cargo, there is a daily ferry to Fortuna Bay, on The Melanesian Islands. The airport here is busy as well, and many connections to the rest of Carteria are available.

Tashmara is also home to the Tashmara Gold Bears, the eight-time champions of the Uzbekistan and Solomon Baseball Memorial Cup (USBMC). Other sports teams include: Tashmara Tigercats (basketball), Tashmara T-Storms (hockey) and Tashmara Titans (football).
