Fam’dai

Meaning The Path of the Warrior, the Fam'dai is an ancient code of honour and behaviour. Originally created by the chivalric Daii, the Fam'dai lives on in modern-day Starblaydia as the closest thing resembling a religion. Though Starblaydis are not prone to theism, the combination of a Buddishm-like outlook on life combined with a Bushido-style martial code has proved quite popular with Starblaydi citizens throught their history.

Having been created by the finest Knights in Starblaydi history, the minor martial-arts that are associated with the Fam’dai are almost exclusively blade-based, as swords were the most popular and abundant weapons used by the Daii. As such, anyone with the Fam’dai as a major part of their life is usually proficient in hand-to-hand combat and should know how to weild a sword effectively, if only with the more basic of styles.
