Background

Originally part of the ….. Empire, but mainly a land of nomadic herders, camal trains and warring tribes. Kakyristan was an important trading centre, with strong political links to the surrounding land and also north western………. Which it traded with during the middle ages. Kakyristan was occupied by…… Forces during the……. war of 1914-1920. On the 15 of april 1928 Kakyristan was declared independent from ……. Rule, although after this, many years of war and political unrest led to the election of Huwayan Al-Faedla, in 1953, the notorious dictator and Human rights abuser. After a oppressive but relatively peaceful period, Kakyristan was Invaded by ……. in 1972 in an attempt to incorporate it into the Facist Collective. The invasion succeeded and Kakyristan was occupied up until 1991. During which ……. Sponsored insurgency and supplied weapons to destroy the local infastucture. It was later invaded by ……… in 2001 to topple the regime and bring order to the region. Currently In between violent times, the interim government is popular and the country as a whole is flourishing. But not for long…………

  • Official local name: Al-Jumhuriyah Al Kakariyastan
  • Short local name: Al Kakariyastan
  • Conventional official name: The Republic of Kakyristan

Governmental overview

The Kakyristan government is generally a bunch of corrupt, poor politicians who employ their goon gangs to carry out business.

Being openly welcoming to terrorists and exiled peoples, fugitives and criminals makes them popular on the international arms market, but not in the international community. The terrorists being harboured in the mountains of Kakyristan are politically classed as – Endangered Citizens – or Useful to the economy.

Many goings on are given a blind eye or not noticed at all, when they have better things to do at hand. When the Permanent government is installed, at least by 2008, they will take on the task of stabilising the country as reminding the citizens they have laws to keep to and abide by.

Law at the moment is generally taken on by lynch mobs and religious leaders. With the irregular forces mounting many of these cleansing missions. Foreigners are looked on by the locals as dangerous, many are not, but as with the violent past of the Kyr people, they fear the outsiders coming into their land and disposing of their leaders. It is not illegal to travel to Kakyristan, just inadvisable to some areas, but Foreigners, especially westerners, are looked on with suspicion by many orthodox people. However the Kyr are encouraged to explore lands and travel, learn languages, cultures and adopt traditions – to an extent.

Culture

The Capital city,,Al-Skeh’ba, is the largest city in the region, being renowned for centuries as a centre of learning, politics and commerce.

Military

The military is divided into several branches: Kyr Regular Force, Kyr Air Force. However there are also several insurgency and militia groups which are the Kyr Irregular Force and the Kyr Brethren.

Kyr Regular Force

Overview

The Kyr Regular forces are not dissimilar to the unorganised rabble of insurgents apart from the divisions and standard basic kit. they Still employ similar tactics, and dress.

The Mechanized factions consist mainly of ex soviet T-55s and 62s. the standard APC is the BMP-1, and the White Toyota Hilux.

The Regular forces are divided as noted below:

...

Kyr Air Force

After the recent invasions the Kyr Air Force is barely anything, only a few running Su-27s still exist. The last unserviceable aircraft are being repaired at the moment and more are said to be purchased soon.

Kyr Special Forces

...

Kyr Irregular Force

The kyr irregular forces are almost the same as the regular forces, apart from the fact they are part time militia with no military armour or dress. They have Slim relations to the army, as a special forces team. They are sometimes called upon to assist the army for a small fee. Originally trained by the ……. . They carry the same training on by word of mouth and dedicated instructors. They have training bases located throughout Kakyristan that the government gives a blind eye to.
