The Holy Empire of --Byzantium-- was founded as a joint effort by Greeks in the Empire of Wakesburg to resettle the Byzantine Empire of old. Its capital, New Constantinople,was built as an artificial recreation of Constantinople, and has become a mecca of sorts to all pro-Byzantine supporters. The Emperor, the Basileus Tiberios Palaeologus is a decedent of the last Emperor of Constantinople. The Holy Empire is a close friend of Wakesburg and currently depends on it for military and socio economical support.
