The Alliance of Honourable Peoples is a region comprising of nations committed to the four principles of the Alliance: 'Liberty, Justice, Freedom, Security', as quoted in the region's factbook entry.

The first official Alliance Treaty was signed in 1786, between Roudland, Great Wrightland and Yew Island. Several other nations joined in 1799 and 1806 with the first group comprising Gothria, Violet Strawberries, McGranaghantaria, and Zakmenistan. In 1806 Kegmenistan and Beckitaria joined, and since 1834 there has been a large number of applications to the region. A notable nation that applied was Super Rome, which joined in 1989.

The Alliance is governed by the Security Council, a group of representatives from 3 nations, elected by the leaders of the other Alliance nations. They have their seat in Softwood City, Yew Island, and administer all major Alliance affairs, from new legislation to diplomacy and even war. To this end, the region is protected by the Alliance Defence Force (ADF), comprising of several nations' armed forces. ADF members include (but are not limited to) Roudland, Super Rome, Great Wrightland, Kegmenistan and Gothria.

The Alliance has experienced several conflicts in its long history, most notably the Roudland-Trollinahole war from 1906-1909, the Great Alliance War from 1937-1943, the Moronyickan war in 2004, and the Hannigan Island conflict in 2005.

The region is not UN governed, but does include some UN nations; this has bearing on the fact that dictatorships are not permitted in the Alliance.
