Anaranē

Anaranē is a Tomanian singer and songwriter.

Biography

Her first music piece, which she had written at the age of 7, was a farewell song for her grandmother. After graduating from college in Armenelos, she began working as a opera singer in the Grand Opera House, but in 1992, she turned her career around to focus on her activities on composing rather than singing.

In July of 1992, she made her debut in a government sponsored rally in Eregion, Anaranē was part of an all-female trio Elenier, then consisting of Abria nos-Lithfalas (lead vocals), herself (back-up vocals, keyboards), and Ilmare Aldawar. In the following two years, the group released six singles and two albums but in 1995 they temporarily broke up. nos-Lithfalas decided to become a writer while Anaranē carried on with composing music for other artists as well as sound producing for TV, commercials, films, animation and games.

In 2000, Anaranē sang her self composed song "Awaken" which became a popular solo track. The Imperial government signed her to become a sponsored singer/songwriter/composer. Since then she has released seven albums, thirty-six compositions, a "techno-opera" and has sold over six billion records since 2000.

Anaranē is the Empire's most famous singer/songwriter and has enjoyed considerable artistic freedom. Worldwide she has sold over 100 million records, most in Morindira, Y'thera, Dracoriana, and Russia.

Anaranē has a trademark neo-goth style, marked by her occasional use of gothic make-up and taste for Victorian-styled clothing. She also designs many of her own clothes, including those worn in the music video for Corruption. In concerts, she often wears a corset and fishnets, and once had a notable piercing on her left eyebrow..

Many fans praise Anaranē for her refusal to emulate other celebrities by using sex appeal in her music. She has stated on a number of occasions that she would never flash her breasts or engage in other publicity stunts that would draw attention to herself.

Anaranē is currently part of the In Iron Tour 2006 with other perfomers Ambari, The Praetorians, Morquendi and Zenshira.
