Ariellan Observatory (Universitus)

The Ariellan Observatory of Universitus is a very large facility located in Hul, Aidel, Jey, and serves as the major observation facility for the students of Universitus. The observatory maintains the highest powered telescopes and microscopes owned by Universitus, and currently the highest magnitude telescopes and microscopes in Jey reside in the observatory. The facility was constructed in 3900 (JY), for academic and research purposes but also largely for political reasons of officially acquiring the land located around Hul for incorporation into The Allied Empire of Jey. Previously, the land was owned by The Grenevan Territories, and such an academic construction in the name of Jey's most prestigious institution added to the country's declaration of sovereignty over the area. To help pay for the expensive facility, the Jevian Government subsidized $10 billion, 1/4th of the total cost, in exchange for the assistance in international relations.
