Armand Gouré-Smith

Yzhizi Armand Orotalt Jéan-Baptiste Gouré-Smith,Great Sun-Prince, Illustruous Lord,Grand priest of Noodok, (1818-1906) was the last non-titled head of state of the Federal States of Desh separatist state 1884-1888 ,deposing the usurper Hob Nelson ,though officialy he succeeded Mamood Yama'k ar-Hastiri ,who died in early 1884.

He was born in Washington and came to Desh with his cousin, Gerárd Beringtonne ,father of Francis Bearinghton .He was the adoptive father of future head of state Burton Smith. Together they established the National American Congress of Trade ans Setlement in Desh in 1841.Beringtonne became its first president and Gouré-Smith its first chief governing secretary.This was transformed into the National Senate in 1846.Gouré-Smith gave up his post two days after the establishment of the senate,thinking it too "colonialistic".1850-1852,however,he served as its acting president,because of Beringtone's bad health and after hís death became the president hismelf.He abolished the post in 1853,replacing it with the position of Chief Governor of Senate,into witch he nominated Burton Smith .Francis Bearinghton ,however,felt that Smith was nominated because he was Gouré-Smith's adoptive son,and not because of his 3 year service as Port Governor of Malighubuul.In 1856 he managed the impeachment of Burton Smith and became "acting Chief Governor".In 1860 eh declared the independant state.Gouré-Smith left policits,only to return after the usurpation of Hob Nelson .In 1884,following the "Nelson" War ,he became "Head of the Oposition Government" and shortly thereafter had the National Senate restored,himself elected head of state and Nelson arested.He served in his office until the local revolution of 1888 ,establishing the full-fledged monarchy of Chaovarman I. of The Federated States of Desh .He served as an advisor and head of the state council to Chaovarman I. ,Rajpranjivarman I. and until 1900 to Regent Chaovikramini ,when he retired.He died on his estate in 1906 and was given the title of "Great Sun-Prince" in memoriam by Chaovarman II. in 1907.He has three sons, Louis-August Gouré-Smith and two unnamed sons who died at chilbirth.As stated in his will,his son was burried alongside him in the state tomb after his own death in 1933.

In 1866 he converted to the Desh national religion and became a personal adherent and priest of the god Noodok ,the God of Peace and friendship. His secret temple name was Yzhizi.
