Overview
Arturria (full name: The Socialist Federal Republic of Arturria) is a large nation with a democratically elected and run, liberal, socialist government. In government policies, there is a great emphasis on social welfare and economic equality. Anti-capitalistic and pro-environment propaganda are not uncommon. These have led to the nation having the lowest GDP of the region, yet one of the best environments and climates.
UN Affairs
After it was founded, this nation spent a few months in the UN. It even served as UN delegate to the Methody region for a short period of time. However, it soon resigned after it became apparent to government ministers that UN membership was of little use to the welfare of the nation. On top of that, there was great dissatisfaction with endorsement games that went on when electing a regional UN delegate.
Regional Affairs
Arturria was one of the founding members of the Methody Region (though not the actual founder) and is currently an elected member on the regional Disciplinary Commitee. The leader of Arturria established and administrates the regional message board and all other regional webpages, including the regional constitution and regional laws.

The Ancient Era (pre 500)
(Little known during this period due to lack of records and evidence)
- 170(~) - The Great Wall of Arturria built.
- 320(~) - The land of the Arturr people secedes from the Capitolian Empire after a successful battle between the folk army and the imperial guard.
The Folk Era (500-1200)
- 658 - First national laws established. Interesting example (spoken in Early Arturrian English): "A man who stealls his felows pick (pig) shall be fine therefor a four day wage or 's (his) small finner (finger)."
- 812 - The Arturr Chronicles are written.
- 982 - Greenland discovered by Norwegians.
The Imperial Era (1200-1603)
- 1378 - City of New Leningrad established on the New Neva river.
The First Great Socialist Revolution (1603-1895)
- 1603 - The first People's Protests begin in Verhograd.
- 1604 - The Imperial Regime falls and new socialist government established.
- 1666 - New Leningrad proclaimed capital city of the state of Arturria.
- 1809 - First National Census carried out.
- 1814 - The Great Depression occurs. Market recovers within a few months.
- 1870 - Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin) born in Simbirsk.
The Sultanate Era (1895-1950)
- 1895 - A Sultan is elected by the people to represent the nation nternationally.
- 1902 - Lenin publishes the famous "What is to be Done?".
- 1917 - The Soviet government is formed, with Lenin as Chairman.
- 1920 - New Moscow proclaimed capital city of the sultanate of Arturria.
- 1922 - Formal establishment of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
- 1923 - The Great Harem of New Moscow built.
The Second Great Socialist Revolution (1950-1990)
- 1950 - The Sultan is overthrown by the people after their dissatisfaction with his international policies.
- 1950 - New Leningrad is once more proclaimed the capital city of the socialist state of Arturria.
- 1952 - The Great Harem of New Moscow falls into disrepair.
- 1973 - First manned Arturrian space flight.
The Modern Era (post 1990)
- 1998 - The Great Harem of Moscow restored and opened to visitors.
- 2004 - Population of Arturria reaches 1 billion.
- 2005 - Population of Arturria reaches 3 billion.
Arturrian Geography
Arturria is a large nation, and this allows it to ecompass highly varied landscapes. The nation consists of two large islands (Fair Arturria to the north and Arturria Amoroso to the south) and many smaller islands, including Olke Tobe, Greathorizon Island and Sealand. These maps outline the major geographical features of the nation.
Arturrian States
Arturria is a federal republic and therefore consists of multiple states, each with semi-autonomous administration. One of these maps shows the state borders in the nation of Arturria. The following is a list of the 21 states, of which New Leningrad is a federal city:

Arturrian Symbols
Arturrian Flag
The Arturrian flag (shown in the info box at the top of this page) is divided into four colourful sections. Each sector symbolises a season of the year, clockwise from top left: spring, summer, winter, autumn. The summer and winter sections have, respectively, a sun and a snowflake to symbolise the appropriate weather. Spring displays a treble clef, which shows the country's links with music, while autumn shows a Greek letter - symbolic of a link with languages. The red star in the centre unifies the four sectors, just as socialism unifies the various regions of the country.
National Anthem
The Arturrian national anthem varies depending on the season of the year. This is because the country has adopted A. Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and only the appropriate part of the composition to the current season is played.
One unique feature of Arturrian orchestral music is the use of the A clef by some standard orchestral instruments. This clef rests on the lowest line of the staff, thus identifying it as the A above middle C.
