The Arvorias is a famous literary work on the history of the nation of Arvor and its peoples. Written approximately 500 years ago, it encompasses creationist myths of the world, the great upheavals in Arvori history, and the arrival and settlement in the region of Wysteria, as well as documenting priceless numbers of stories, poems and legends circulating at the time of its publication. The work's authorship remains a matter of fierce debate at present, but the most common interpretation is that of a multitude of anonymous authors each contributing several passages during their lifetime.

Passages from the Arvorias relating to Aya

“…and upon a great island our ships did them descend. Shrouded in mystes and fogs which even the keenest of our eyes could not penetrate, a great island emerged before us, rising out of the merciless oceans like a great king forged from the finest rock…”

“…the people of this island called themselves the Ayanin, and their kinge Kotei. They were all great creatures of God, rising seven foote from the ground clad in the best silk. Their hair was as blonde as the sun and each had the beauty of an angel, and the strength of an Ox. They were much shocked to see the squalor in which we lived on our boats for their houses were grand and rich, each one individually mined from the great mountain and each decorated in the finest carvings to which the people gave great meaning. Their kinge Kotei lived upon a great plateau on the mountain in the grandest palace of golde and silver which shone like a beacon in the sun. His rule was said to be fine and juste, and the people loved him so…”

“…and there was great sadnesse upon our leave from this island of mythe and magic for the people did muche whant to stay, but alas! For this was not our home.”
