The United Socialist States of Ballklampania is a geographically small nation on an island south east of its region, The Magical Land of Smurfs. At about 150,000 km², Ballklampania is home to about 12,000,000 citizens to 20,000,000 citizens.
History
The island of Ballklampania was originally very small when it was first settled by Native American peoples sailing west to find more land. The island eventually grew to its current size and is still growing (explained in Geography, below). later, about 1669, Spaniards arrived at the island. Like all other European countries at the time, Spain was sending ships out to find riches and a northwest passage to China. They just happened to find this island. They traded extensively until about 1850. Then, the Spanish started industrializing the island. That's when the Russians found and tried to take control of the island.
The fight between the Russians and the Spanish eventually led to the 30 Year's War. Even though no gunpowder was used and there were no deaths, this was a very bloody battle. Basically, it consisted of a planned giant kick boxing match each month for thirty years. The two sides would gather on their respective side of the hill, run down at each other, and kick box. Whichever side gave up first lost. It was pretty straight forward. The Russians obviously eventually won.
They took immediate control of the island. In 1889, after about 8 years of being a colony of Russia, the island became its own country. Back then, it was a representative democracy, much like the modern day United States. After 14 years, though, the people of Ballklampania were fed up with to poor decisions that their leaders were making. This led to the Ballklampanian Revolution.
