Baltijan Embassy Crisis
The Baltijan Embassy Crisis began on June 17, 2006 at about 11:00 AM, when protests by Nationalists turned violent, and the embassy was stormed by terrorists.
Why it Started
During a civil war in Romanar, a country bordering the Colony of Marcica in The Lexicon, Baltija captured a Myrorian\PLTO hospital in the southwest of the country. After it was found the xenophobic doctors were carrying pistols, they were executed out of laws that applyed to the now-controlled hospital. Myroria declared all diplomatic ties severed, and, as the ambassador and his entourage were leaving, the protests began. They decided to stay while the situation cooled down, but it escalated.
The Solution
After a demand from several countries and the Baltijan government speculated by other nations to sympathize with the Nationalist terrorists, a counter-terrorist force was dispatched to raid the embassy. Two days after the siege of the embassy, the terrorists surrendered. Though there were some injuries, no deaths were reported.
