Blu-Tac

Blu-Tac is a prominent right-wing member of NationStates and the current president of the region The Elite Conservative Circuit. Blu-Tac has several puppet nations who have also held senior positions in other regions, however since becoming president of the ECC, he has resigned from all of these positions. Blu-Tac is founder and former leader of the NS Conservative Party, which came to power in the NS General Election last year and came second in the last election.

Early NS Life

Blu-Tac joined NS several years ago, under a long-forgotten nation, called "Guuuuys". Guuuuys, or some other long gone pseudonym, was the UN Delegate of the region Breakfast for several days. Breakfast was actually, at that time, a region that Blu-Tac and some real-life friends had set up. Over time, these other friends got bored and left NationStates, Guuuuys left Breakfast and left it to die, allowing it to be refounded by someone else if they wished, then started travelling around different regions in the NS world, eventually coming to reside in the game administrator's (SalusaSecondus) region, named The Cuckoos Egg. While he was in this region, one of Guuuuy's real life friends came back to NationStates in the form of Jothopolis, and it was April Fool's Day, thinking up a small prank, Guuuuys created another nation, with a name very similar to SalusaSecondus, and warned Jothopolis that he was in violation of a non-existant rule.

Unfortuanately, it was in fact Guuuuys that was in violation of a rule, one that actually existed, you are not permitted to pretend to be another nation, and on 2nd April 2005, Guuuuys, and his joke puppet, were deleted. Blu-Tac took over as the main nation, and resided in the region Lancre for some time before Blu-Tac's presidential predecessor moved a puppet in, Blu-Tac, seeing a region that agreed with his views, moved out to the ECC tat same day.

Getting to Know the Elite Conservative Circuit

As soon as Blu-Tac moved into the ECC, he knew it would be his home for a long time, the people were friendly, understanding and politically equal. Blu-Tac felt welcomed and most of all, he wasn't a political pariah in a left-wing world.

Within days Blu-Tac had his first job as ambassador to the Global Right Alliance, and pretty soon he was the Intelligence Minister for the ECC. After being in the race for president for only a few days in the December 2005 presidential elections, he stood in the elections for UN delegate, alongside Lovers Rock of Weird, the incumbent, and Futuristic America. As the results came in it looked ever more likely tht there would be a tie between the Futuristic America and Blu-Tac, with the incumbent recieving relatively few votes, however this wouldn't be the last time Blu-Tac would meet Lovers Rock in a regional election, and the next time, it would be a lot closer. Futuristic America went on to win the delegateship during the run-off vote. Blu-Tac became the Minister of Regional Standards.

At the end of his second term, Cristia announced he would not seek re-election. Blu-Tac, who was actually ready to have started publically supporting a re-election bid by Cristia, decided to stand, and again faced his "old rival" Lovers Rock. Blu-Tac, while avoiding another run-off, only won by a single vote, but it was enough, Blu-Tac, after just under a year of residing in the ECC, was president, beating off competition from one of the original founders. Lovers Rock went on to achieve high ranks in the Blu-Tac cabinet, and to this day is third in line for presidency, if the president and Vice-President should be away.

Since becomind president, Blu-Tac has seen the region have a stronger international voice, more Role Plays and is currently trying to set up an honours system to acknowledge extraordinary members of the ECC, however he has so far failed to achieve his election promise of more members and increased activity.
