The History of Camino

The region of Camino was first founded by the Emirate of Voikl, in the wake of a potential struggle between the regions of Riordonia and The Generals. Having formerly been known as, Hanger 16, Lords or Darkness, and NSAD, the people of this fleeing group soon settled in the area known today as Camino. Having developed largeley off of eachother, the residents of Camino have learned to harness the power of nature and in Camino's circumstance, the large, most abundant and raging oceans. With the advance of technology in Camino, many colonies have risen and allowed for the expansion and growth of the Caminoian culture and prosperity.

The Great Peace

Being a small region in NationStates posed many threats towards its new inhabitants, among which the most terrifying was that of an invasion. With little to no time to spare, The founder of Camino, Voikl, decided to attempt to construct an alliance between a similar relatively smaller region of nations, The Generals. Having created an Alliance between the two regions, security was a breath closer for the citizens of Camino. With time, the embassy of The Generals informed the residents of Camino that they were preparing for a war with a neighbor of theirs and wished for our security. Having watched the war progress, Camino was seen as a potential, and very vulnerable region for a war to be fought. This hightened sense of necesary security prompted the government of Camino to make an almost immediate decision to decide the fates of the region. the decision was named, "The Wedge Decision" for its wedged appearance between two greater regions. With the conclusion of government meetings, it was decided that a treaty was needed between Camino and the region of opposition, Riordonia. With the construct of the Riordonia-Camino treaty, the peoples republic of Camino was safeguarded from the threat of a two front war. Thus this great treaty system and securement from the war has been named, "The Great Peace".
