Catalonia is a province within the United Federal Kingdom of St Samuel. The province was founded in January 2008 after the Second War of Greater Holdinia and the collapse of Southern Holdinia. The province borders Mercadier Province, Lombarda Province, Nizucia Province, Saxonia Province, St Liam Province, Tuffinica Province and Savilliana Province.

The administrative capital is Kethalonika and the current lord protector of Catalonia is Lady Francesca Orenborg.


History

The Catalonia Province was formerly a part of the Southern Holdinia Empire up until the countries defeat in the Second War of Greater Holdinia in January 2008.

Physical geography & Climate

The province is landlocked and borders Mercadier Province, Lombarda Province, Nizucia Province, Saxonia Province, St Liam Province, Tuffinica Province and Savilliana Province.

Catalonia has a Mediterranean climate, with mild, dry winters and warm, humid summers. January and February are the coldest months, averaging temperatures of 10 °C (50 °F). Snowfalls are so rare that they are remembered as special events. July and August are the hottest months, averaging temperatures of 30 °C (86 °F). The highest recorded maximum temperature in the province itself is 38.6 °C.
