History

Born in the town of Kryzgz in the newly formed People's Republic of Nurdbotia, in a town where the population was mostly human Julias Uslav was a member of the 4 armed alien race of dark blue Plutionions, one of the three organic races of Nurdbotia. Julias had a smart family who had been long members of the Bolshevek Party, his father was a Trader and his mother had recently gotten a job as a Secretary of the newly formed Town Miltia. His two brothers were training in the newly formed Nurdbotian Soviet Airforce. Life for Julias was sweet as a member of the 1st Generation of the Nurdbotian Union.

Education and Military Service

As a boy, he kept to himself mostly but made good friends wisely and studied hard under his father and in the state schools that were being slowly introduced across the nation. Once he graduated from school by the age of 18, he decided to get a degree in the arts at Nurdograd University by joining up as a Conscript for the Red Army for 6 months minimum. By doing this the state paid for his education, which is still a benefit today.

He joined up with the 48th Red Army and was drilled in the tactics of modern warfare and shown how the latest in war technology was operated. He discovered his natural flair for leadership during Training. He knew when to attack when the enemy was at it's weakest and knew when it would be better to retreat instead of fighting to the last man.

The Red Army, needing good Officers, gave him a Captain's Comission in 1943 and sent him to Nurdograd to drill the younger Officers there in Tactical Logic and Decision making. Sadly, a few weeks after promotion he had learnt his families oldest, Gregori Uslav, a MiG-85 Pilot had lost his life fighting against the Urallian Airforces in the Battle of the Island Fortress.

While in the Kremlin Academy for Red Army Officer Cadets, he gained the attention of several Weapons Manufacturers who wanted to know what the Red Army soldier of this new age needed. He gladly informed them. From 1944 to 1956 he trained over 950 Nurdbotian Red Army Officers in the academy before being promoted to the rank of Commander and transferred to the 9th Nurdbotian Red Army, stationed in the South Eastern part of Robodistaniosk (The typical Commander ration in a Red Army of Nurdbotia is 15).

When the nation of Blendaria collapsed upon itself into a mixture of anarchy and civil wars in 1962, it was split between several nations by MuDeAl. Nurdbotia was given the North Western part of the country. Several Red Armies in the South Eastern part of the Nurdbotian Union were mobilised to secure this new part of the Union, disarm the rogue factions and protect the new citizens.

The 9th Red Army was given the task of crushing a Rebel army and securing the chosen Capital of Blendaria in the Nurdbotian Union. Commader Uslav had a minor role in the controversial battle of Blanchmark. He personally lead one of the many 200 reserves that secured the Temple grounds from surviving Rebel soldiers and captured quite a few prisoners.

It was noticed that out of the many groups of 200 men that were sent into the battle, his was the only once with a fatality and Casuality rate below 5%. His men suffered little to no post combat fatigue too and they respected his orders. Even the 10 Prisoners taken were treated well under his command.

Commander Uslav spent several months with the 9th Red Army securing the capital city of Blachmarikov in the new part of the Union, Blendarioski. He was then called back to Nurdograd, where he was one of the many veterans given the Order of the Red Star. He also caught the eye of Field Marshal Neubiant, who immediatly assigned him to his own staff and made him a Poltiburo Junior Minister. He suggested to Neubiant that if the Red Army knew of the Guerilla tactics that the Rebel Army had used as well as Urallia, the casualty rate of these battles for the Red Army could be reduced.

The Field Marshal took this suggestion to heart, and ordered that Guerilla tactics to be taught to not only soldiers, but the conscripts of the nation too. When Chairman Nurdbot was declared Obsolete and Neubiant was made the 2nd Chairman of the Nurdbotian Union he promoted several trusted members of his staff to General including Uslav.

Entry into Politics

Uslav worked hard for Plutonion rights and was finally accepted into the Plutionion Soviet in 1971, with a little help from his Retired Soviet Airforce Air Pilot brother, Now a Senior Minister in the Plains Soviet. He expanded into other social areas like education along with several other ministers and co-operation between the organics and the automatons of the nation. Uslav even showed some interest in the Soviet Space program.

The loss of his close friend the 2nd Chairman after the MuDeAl Meeting Nuclear attack hardened his stance against Nuclear weapons.

By 1978, Uslav had become the Secretary of the Plutionion Soviet. He was also an advisor for Chairman Hochinski during the Gnome Island Wars, though he was rarely listened too because he suggested the Red Army not get too involved. Despite this, he made some good descisions and was promoted to Field Marshal after the conflict was resolved by Hochinski.

In 1983, he became the head of the Plutonion Soviet at last and was becoming quite a name amongst his own race. He was now a senior Poltiburo Minister too and brought up a number of social and economic issues, especially to do with the Nurdbotian enviroment and education. He was present in the formation of COMECON in Nurdograd and during the launching of the first section of the joint Nurdbotian-Pyrexonian Space Station.

By the 2020's, it was clear Chairman Hochinski was on his way out and the Poltiburo was given the first chance to decide who would lead the Nurdbotian Union. There were several candidates, and Uslav was one of the 3 Plutonion Senior Poltiburo Ministers chosen. Nevertheless, due to his spotless Military and Social record he beat the 10 other Senior Ministers and was made the first Organic Chairman of Nurdbotia in 2024, becoming the first Plutonion leader the nation had ever had.

Under Uslav, the Nurdbotian Union had a relatively peaceful run heading into the 3rd Golden Age. The economy continued to be excellent, the space program was better than ever and crime and social unrest had been stamped out throughout the entire nation. Even more of the Red Army was modernised.

Sadly, in 2029, Chairman Uslav had to attend his mother's funeral. Chairman Uslav was seen as a more of a social Chairman of the Nurdbotian Union. He was in good relations with many leaders at the time.

By the 2050's, Chairman Uslav wanted to spend more time with his family, he was worried his 300 year old father would pass away soon and suggested it was time for the leadership of the Union to switch hands. He had no desire to waste most of his life doing this job, like the Chairman before him.

Chairman Ivanovich was chosen in his place, the first human Chairman of the Nurdbotian Union. Though Uslav is no longer a Chairman or head of the Urallian Soviet, he still wields some power in the Poltiburo and retains the rank of Field Marshal. He advised Chairman Ivanovich on the defences of the Union against the lethal power of the Dominion in the Dominion Wars.

At the moment, he has taken a break from Politics and is now the Head of the Nurdograd Officer Cadet Academy still teaching.
