Background Information

Chapeltown Central was the first and main terminus of the Simonvian capital. Over the years, Simonvian Trains has expanded the network that originally consisted of said station, Elsecar Central (Now Leeman Road) and Wombwell.

Chapeltown Central Today

Chapeltown Central has 19 platforms and serves as a terminus for trains from places such as:

  • Ilkley
  • Calgary ( Airport / Central / Parkway )
  • Skipton
  • Elsecar ( Leeman Road / Queen Street / International )
  • Sheffield
  • St Albans ( Airport / Harbour / Central )

Rail Operators

All trains are run by Simonvian Trains but some traces of First Simonvia's services still remain. A prime example of this is Simonvian Transpennine, which was partly owned by both major rail companies. Some of the divisions of Simonvian Trains that serve Chapeltown Central include:

  • Cross-Country
  • Transpennine
  • Simonvian Trains (Stopping, semi-fast and some express services)

Other Services

Chapeltown Central also has 6 sub-terrain platforms used by the Chapeltown Underground.

About the Upgrade

The new roof is slanted in multiple v formations. The rainwater then runs into the middle of the V s and is drained through pipes in the support columns. It is then pushed through a tube, turning a turbine to generate a small amount of power, and cleaned. The water is then used in the toilets and sinks. There is a large tank in which the water is stored when awaiting use. This allows for a minute reduction in the pressure put on the water and electricity suppliers.
