EARLY DAYS
Checkhovian originally joined NationStates at the suggestion of a friend, and after two small, personally motivated raids, settled down in her own region of Dream of a Ridiculous Dictator. At the time, it was a simple excercise in exploring the game and meeting a few other players. The original off-site forums were set up, and a small active core of the region was established. Wonki, Sugars and Spices, Mankind, and Compulsoria emerged as the active core of the region, later joined by Atlantis (dubbed "the destroyer of civilizations" after his wars with mods had millions of innocent citizens killed).
INTO ZURICH
When Checkhovian uncovered potential threats made by the equally-sized (at the time) region of Zurich, she decided that something must be done to protect Dream, and decided to move into the region undercover. Mass Pandamonium was born, and proceeded to become friends with InsanePyros, the president of Zurich at the time. Pyros encouraged her to run in the upcoming elections, in which she was elected as the region's vice president. Mass also became closely allied with Georgios Samaras (who headed up the great Zurichian Kaetoria coup). She retained close working relationships with Eyster (founder), SwissPeace (head of military), and her two favorite Old Guys - SlicesRight (now president) and Malfeasence (current delegate).
When real life's nagging call interrupted the gaming career of the great Pyros, Mass inherited the presidency and called for new elections, in which she subsequently won the presidency. As the original forums had been maintained by the now-inactive Pyros, she established fine new forums for the region, and, through active posting, encouraged the forums as an integral part of regional activity.
