The Holy Empire of Coffee Drinking is a tiny country formed after a bloodless military coup in several hotels located in around the Sukhumvit Road / Soi 4 area of Bangkok, Thailand. The Empire encompasses the Nana Hotel, Rajah Hotel, Nana Entertainment Plaza, The Landmark Hotel, and the Dynasty Hotel. Unfortunately it seems that the "glorious coup" went completely un-noticed by the Thai authorities who still (wrongly) believe that this area is still under Thai control. Plans are in the works to annex the Nana Skytrain station as well as the Grace Hotel on Soi 3, however these plans are contingent on His Holyness awaking before noon someday so don't hold us to any sort of timetable.

Prostitution is not only fully legal within the Empire, it is encouraged. It is a well known fact that this formerly Thai area was considered one of the world's largest open brothels, the new government of Coffee Drinking does not see a need to change this enlightened policy.

The capital of the Holy Empire of Coffee Drinking is the Nana Hotel, with the official presidential palace located in room 602.

While the official language of Coffee Drinking is English, Thai is also considered a sort of "secondary official language" because so many Thais live and work in the area and it didn't seem practical to deport them. Other languages commonly spoken in Empire are German, Swedish, French, Dutch, Arabic .... basically any languange that visitors to the hotel... errr I mean glorious Capital speak in their native countries.

The empire heads the Alliance of Conservatives because of all the hippies and liberals hanging out in the coffee shops taking up space, talking about politics, and not buying any coffee. As soon as we have a military we plan on deporting all these tree-huggers.
