The Commonwealth Secretariat for the Law of the Sea is the Commonwealth Commission secretariat responsible for enforcing the Taliadoros Treaty on the Law of the Sea in coordination with the Commonwealth Interministerial Council, the Commonwealth Secretariat for Cooperation, the Commonwealth Secretariat for Commerce, the Commonwealth Secretariat for Collective Security, the Commonwealth Secretariat for External Affairs, the Commonwealth Defense Force and the navies and coast guards of the various Commonwealth member states. It is administered by the Commonwealth Secretary for the Law of the Sea.

Although the Secretariat for the Law of the Sea coordinates a massive effort, it is an effort in which most of the ground level work is better handled by more general agencies. Correspondingly, the Secretariat only directly employs a fairly small staff. It is headquartered in the Cornelius Belder Building in New Amsterdam.
